Course Modules:

Week 1- Introduction to PR - Strategy, Messaging, and Stakeholder Management

This module provides the foundational knowledge and strategic thinking needed for a successful career in public relations. We will cover the core principles of PR, its role in modern communication, and how it integrates with marketing to achieve business goals. You will learn how to align communication goals with business objectives, manage key stakeholder relationships, and tailor your messaging to resonate with different audiences for maximum impact.

Week 2- Media and Digital Relations - Content, and Storytelling

This module delves into the art of storytelling and its crucial role in public relations. You’ll discover how to create compelling narratives that resonate with audiences and translate them into engaging content for both traditional and digital platforms. We will also cover the essentials of media and digital relations, from building journalist relationships to leveraging data and AI to drive and measure content strategies.

Week 3- PR Strategies, Campaigns, and AI

This module takes a deep dive into the world of strategic PR campaigns. You will analyze iconic and impactful campaigns, exploring what makes them successful and how they leverage storytelling, partnerships, and media to achieve their goals. The class will examine how to identify emerging trends and the growing role of new technologies like artificial intelligence in shaping the future of public relations.

Week 4- Crisis & Reputation Management

This module provides a comprehensive guide to navigating organizational challenges and protecting brand reputation. You’ll learn to differentiate between an issue and a full-blown crisis, analyze various types of crises, and understand their lifecycle. The focus will be on proactive strategies, including designing a robust Crisis Communication Plan (CCP) and managing key stakeholders and media across all phases of a crisis.

Week 5- PR Career Path, Presentation Skills, Budgeting, Reporting & Evaluation

This module focuses on the practical and business-oriented aspects of public relations. You’ll develop essential presentation skills to communicate your ideas effectively and learn how to manage campaign budgets efficiently. We will also explore the different career paths available to PR professionals—in-house vs. agency—and what it takes to succeed in each environment. The module will conclude by teaching you how to measure the impact of your work using key metrics and data to prove your value and refine future strategies.

Week 6- Group Exercise & Course Conclusion

This final session is a hands-on culmination of everything you’ve learned. Working in small groups, you will apply your knowledge to develop a complete PR campaign. The exercise is designed to test your strategic thinking, creativity, and collaborative skills in a practical, real-world scenario. The session concludes with each group giving a short presentation on their campaign, followed by a final wrap-up of the academy.
